The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is seeking public comment on the proposed 2026 Vehicular and Vulnerable Road User (VRU) Road Safety Assessment (RSA) project lists, which include vehicular RSA projects and VRU RSA projects. The projects aim to reduce the frequency and severity of crashes along identified corridors and will identify opportunities to enhance safety for all road users regardless of designated RSA list. The total anticipated cost for the vehicular RSA projects listed is $38 million, and the total anticipated cost for VRU RSA projects listed is $35 million. SCDOT will receive public comment for a 21-day period through April 30, 2026.
