Blue Ridge 48, Travelers Rest 24
The rushing attack was the biggest story of the night for the Tigers, as running back Jakorey Dodd, quarterback Gavin Forrester, and running back Brylon McCoy each rushed for two touchdowns.
Sophomore Cooper Smith rushed for his first-career score in the fourth quarter to cap off the Tigers’ scoring.Â
Blue Ridge wins the Foothills Feud for the third time in four years.
Seneca 42, Greer 13
A dismal night for the Greer run defense, as Seneca RB Amari Verner rushes for 343 yards and five touchdowns to power the Wildcats to the win.
The loss officially knocks Greer out of the race for the 4-A Region 2 crown.
Greer has a bye week next Friday before finishing the season with a clash against Daniel at home.
Byrnes 18, Eastside 6
Playing without star running back Tre' Segarra, the Rebels ground out a win against the Eagles to get back to winning ways.
Kaylin McDowell hauled in a 76-yard TD pass and Choo Harris brought in a 25-yard receiving TD for Byrnes in the win. The Rebels welcome Spartanburg to Nixon Field next Friday.
Christian McDowell returned an interception for a touchdown for Eastside's only points of the game. The Eagles face Wade Hampton at home next Friday.
Gaffney 49, Riverside 20
Gaffney seems to be fully rolling on offense now, and Riverside was another casualty in its wake.
The Indians found the end zone seven times on the night, four of those coming on rushes of 35 yards or longer.
As for the Warriors, despite racking up 454 total yards of offense, Riverside could only muster 20 points.
Riverside faces Boiling Springs at home next Friday.
