The Greer Touchdown Club honored on Thursday its Players of the Week for games played on Oct. 3. 

The Offensive Player of the Week award went to Jackson Buckley of Byrnes High School. Buckley had three receptions for 41 yards and two touchdowns in the Rebels' 42-27 win over Riverside.

The Defensive Player of the Week award went to Chase Free of Greer. Free had six tackles, three assists, and an interception return for a touchdown in Greer's 60-14 win over Pickens.

The Lineman of the Week award went to Josh Hultquist of Greer. Hultquist graded out at 88 percent, collecting three knockdowns and helping Greer dominate in the trenches in a 60-14 win over Pickens.

The Greer Touchdown Club meets every Thursday during the football season at His Vineyard Church in Greer, and the public is invited. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $16.

This week’s guest speaker was Chris Symington, senior offensive coordinator at Brevard College.
