DJ Torrence delivered a stellar defensive performance as Byrnes boys lacrosse defeated Greenville, 6-3, to improve to 4-0 on the year.

Byrnes 4, Chesnee 3 (FINAL/6)

Byrnes freshman Gavin Graham shined for the Rebels, throwing 5 innings of shutout baseball while striking out five. The game was called in the bottom of the sixth due to the two-hour time limit being reached.

Easley 5, Greer 2

SOFTBALL

Greer 13, Southside Christian 1

The Lady Jackets jumped on Southside Christian early and didn't look back. In the team's first home game of the season, with a brand-new scoreboard in the outfield, Greer made sure it lit up with plenty of big numbers.

Senior Morgan Arterburn pitched four innings without giving up an earned run, and followed up her final pitches of the evening with a three-run homer in the bottom of the fourth.

That home run was part of a nine-run fourth inning for Greer, which got RBIs from six different players en route to a comfortable win.

Riverside 8, Dorman 1

In one of the most impressive results of the night, the Lady Warriors traveled to Dorman and defeated the Lady Cavs behind a dominant showing on the mound from Mia Gallello.

The junior pitcher tossed a complete game, allowing just one earned run while striking out 11 Dorman hitters. 

Right fielder Emma Manley was 2-4 with two RBIs, while sophomore catcher Sofia Gamrat went 3-4 at the plate. Riverside improved to 4-1 on the year.

Greer 6, Landrum 3

First-year Greer head coach Reza Ghasemi earned his first win with the Lady Jackets, as Greer rode four second-half goals to a victory.

BOYS LACROSSE

Byrnes 6, Greenville 3

Duce Nodine scored two goals and DJ Torrence delivered a stellar defensive performance as Byrnes improved to 4-0 on the year with an impressive home win.

Clover 16, Eastside 8

Riverside 19, Westside 0

Jack Livingston racked up a remarkable seven goals and two assists, while Merrick Laye had four goals and four assists of his own.

For the Warriors, Coley Altman, Arlo Rohricht, Landon Fore, and Judson Thomas scored their first career varsity goals in the dominant shutout win.
