Voting opens Monday at noon for the GreerNews.com Athlete of the Week, presented by D&D Motors.
Voting will remain open until noon on Wednesday, Feb. 18. Voters can cast a ballot once per day during the campaign.
The Athlete of the Week will be announced on GreerNews.com on Wednesday night, Feb. 18.
Nominees for the week of Feb. 9-15 are:
Bennett Brame, Eastside wrestling
Brame, who is just a freshman, captured the Class 5-A Individual Upper State Championship this weekend at 106 lbs. Brame will now head to the state championships this weekend in Florence.
Cienna Heiselman, Byrnes girls wrestling
Heiselman captured the Class 5-A Individual Upper State Championship this week at 115 lbs. She became the first Byrnes girls wrestler to ever capture an upper state title.
Landon Smith, Greer wrestling
Smith came home with 2nd place this weekend in the Class 4-A Individual Upper State Championships at 165 lbs.
The GreerNews.com Athlete of the Week will be a weekly initiative that will run 32 weeks during the 2025-2026 school year.
