After an all-too-quick summer, Labor Day weekend is already here. For those not traveling out of town, here are some events happening in the Upstate over the long weekend.

Greer Farmers Market Harvest Finale | Aug. 31, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Float-a-Palooza at Saluda Lake Landing | Aug. 30 - Sept. 1

  • Float down the Saluda River (TKTK) while enjoying live music and hot dogs. Tickets are $10 per person and available for purchase online on the lake’s website.

Chesnee Labor Day Festival | Aug. 30 - Sept. 1

  • Come out to Cada Park (220 W. Cherokee St) in Chesnee, S.C. for a three-day Labor Day festival. Attendees can expect food trucks, free rides for kids and live music performances. Additional details can be found at the City of Chesnee’s website.

Dacusville Farm Show | Aug. 30-31

  • Stop by the Dacusville Farm Show (3147 Earls Bridge Rd) for music, a kids zone and an ugliest tractor contest. Admission is $10 at the gate (cash only), and the gates open at 8 a.m. each day. For more information, visit the Dacusville Heritage Association’s website.

Hot Air Balloon Festival — Rising Above Cancer | Aug. 29 - Sept. 1

  • Come see hot air balloons at the Civic Center Balloon Launch Field (3027 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd) in Anderson, S.C. The balloons will be airborn in the early morning (7 a.m.) and evening (6 p.m.) throughout the weekend. Visit Greenville’s event page to learn more.
