Byrnes High School’s Ellison Silver is the GreerNews.com Athlete of the Week, presented by D&D Motors.

Voting opened Monday and remained open until noon on Wednesday. Voters were able to cast a ballot once per day during the campaign.

Silver played a huge role in another perfect week for the Lady Rebels, averaging 16.7 points, five rebounds and three assists per game as Byrnes went 3-0 on the week.

Nominees for the week of Dec.15-21 included Silver, Reeves Garner of Riverside, and Mitchell Bobbitt of Blue Ridge.

The GreerNews.com Athlete of the Week is a weekly initiative that will run 32 weeks during the 2025-2026 school year. Athletes from Greer, Byrnes, Riverside, Eastside, Greer Middle College, and Blue Ridge are eligible.
