The 2026 South Carolina School Report Cards are here, with Greenville County Schools outperforming the state on several key assessments.
The South Carolina School Report Cards are released annually by the South Carolina Department of Education and the South Carolina Education Oversight Committee. Schools receive overall ratings ranging from “unsatisfactory” to “excellent” based on several performance measures, including academic achievement, student progress and graduation rates. Additionally, the report cards provide insight into school districts’ overall performance on state testing.
This year, 32 Greenville County schools received an overall rating of “excellent,” while 30 earned a “good” rating and 25 received an “average” rating. Only one school, the Washington Center, received an “unsatisfactory” rating. The Washington Center is a special education center in the district.
In Greer, Riverside High School and Blue Ridge High School both received “excellent” ratings, while Greer High School received a “good” rating. Greer Middle School, Riverside Middle School and Blue Ridge Middle School all received a rating of “good.”
At the elementary level, Buena Vista Elementary and Woodland Elementary received “excellent” ratings, while Skyland Elementary earned a rating of “good.” Crestview Elementary and Chandler Creek Elementary both received “average” ratings.
Overall, students in Greenville County Schools outperformed their peers at the state level on the SC READY English language arts and mathematics assessments, as well as the English 2 and Algebra 1 end-of-course exams. The district's high school graduation rate increased to 92.2%, the highest level in its history. Additionally, 90.5% of the 2025-26 graduation cohort met the markers for College or Career Readiness, topping 90% for the first time in District history.
