D&D Ford Motors in Greer is hosting a canned food drive for Greer Community Ministries through Thursday, Sept. 25.
The drive is a part of a national effort led by Ford Motor Company called “Ford Building Together.” The initiative aims to strengthen food security in local communities. Ford dealers across the country are hosting food donation drives from Sept. 15-25 in support of local organizations.
D&D Ford Motors selected Greer Community Ministries as their nonprofit beneficiary, and have already donated $1,000 worth of food products directly. They are currently collecting non-expired, shelf-stable food items through this Thursday. According to Greer Ministries, D&D Ford Motors has been a faithful sponsor of the organization for many years.
Community members who wish to donate to the drive can do so by bringing their items to D&D Ford Motors (13655 E Wade Hampton Blvd) before Sept. 25.
