The Greer Heritage Museum is gearing up for Museum Week, a weeklong celebration that will culminate in a 30th birthday party for the museum.

This year’s Museum Week will be held from Sept. 14-19. Celebrations will include local restaurant fundraisers, the museum’s birthday party and its inaugural gala.

“This year’s Museum Week is all about celebrating 30 years of the Greer Heritage Museum, and helping us fundraise for the next 30,” said Museum Director David Lovegrove.

Here’s a look at the schedule of events:

Monday, Sept. 14

  • The Clock Restaurant of Greer, located at 603 W Poinsett St., will host a fundraiser for the museum on Monday. A portion of all sales will be donated to the museum.

Tuesday, Sept. 15

  • Tickets for the museum’s Greer Ghost Tours will go on sale on Tuesday. Residents can visit greerheritage.com/ghosts to learn more. 

Wednesday, Sept. 16

  • Josey’s Chuck Wagon, located at 6001 Wade Hampton Blvd., will host a fundraiser for the museum on Wednesday. A portion of all sales will be donated to the museum.

Friday, Sept. 18

  • The museum will host its Inaugural Greer Heritage Museum Gala at Greer City Hall on Friday. Tickets are $40 and selling quickly online. For more information, visit greerheritage.com/gala/

Saturday, Sept. 19

  • The Greer Heritage Museum will host its 30th birthday party on Saturday at the museum. Tickets are free but required and are selling quickly online. For more information, visit the museum’s website.
