The Greer Heritage Museum is celebrating Museum Week with donuts, history lessons and nights out on the town.
This year’s Museum Week events run from Saturday, Aug. 23, to Saturday, Aug. 29. A History & Donuts event will kick off the week at 10 a.m. on Aug. 23. Residents are invited to attend the free event and learn about the life and death of Hendrix Rector, former sheriff of Greenville County in the early 1900s.
Throughout the workweek, several local restaurants will be donating a portion of their proceeds to the museum. Here’s where residents can go to support the museum throughout the week:
Clock of Greer (603 W Poinsett St) | Monday, Aug. 25, 5-9 p.m.
A percentage of all sales will go to support the museum.
Zaxbys (920 W Wade Hampton Blvd) | Tuesday, Aug. 26, 5-8 p.m.
A percentage of all sales will go to support the museum.
Josey’s Chuckwagon (6001 Wade Hampton Blvd) | Wednesday, Aug. 27, 4-8 p.m.
Participants must show a newsletter or advertisement from the Greer Heritage Museum to have their sale count for the fundraiser.
Cafe on Trade (224 Trade St)
Stop by Cafe on Trade any time throughout the week and order their special menu item to support the museum.
The events will conclude on Friday, Aug. 29, with a surprise announcement from the museum. For more information on Museum Week, visit the Greer Heritage Museum’s website.
