What: A free community event hosted by the Greer Police Department.

Thursday, Aug. 6: Final Moonlight Movies event
What: A free, family-friendly movie in the park. This month’s movie is “Cars.”
When: 6-9 p.m., movie starts at 7 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 9: Greer Farmers Market
What: Weekly farmers market featuring more than 40 local vendors. This week’s theme is “Back to School.”
When: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 15: Tunes in the Park
What: A free concert series featuring the Greer Idol competition. This month’s musical guest will be the Carolina Coast Band.
When: 6-9 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 16: Greer Farmers Market
What: Weekly farmers market featuring more than 40 local vendors. This week’s theme is “Clean Water Appreciation.”

What: Weekly farmers market featuring more than 40 local vendors. This week’s theme is “Community Resources.”

What: A late-summer concert celebrating 150 years of Greer. Guest band Sweet Soul will perform ‘60s and ‘70s soul music.

What: Final installment of the Greer Heritage Museum’s Greer150 event series. Tickets are free but required and can be reserved on the museum’s website.
