Halloween is quickly approaching, and the Town of Lyman is gearing up for trick-or-treaters.
Lyman’s Halloween celebration will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, taking over downtown and the Mill Village. Town officials encourage residents to dress up, enjoy candy and explore the neighborhood.
Trick-or-treaters can expect several community groups and residents handing out candy throughout the evening. There will also be an opportunity for free family photos in front of the decorated Town Hall. Each family gets to take home a free 5-by-7-inch print of their photo.
Portions of Lawrence, Meadow, Crest, Station, Brook and Crescent streets will be closed to vehicle traffic from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, as well as the portions of Church Road and Community Street next to Town Hall.Â
Free parking for trick-or-treating will be available at the former mill site, the Middle Tyger Community Center, the Lyman Event Center and Allison Park. Restrooms are available at Allison Park.
