Polls will open on Tuesday, June 23, for the Statewide Primary Runoff elections. 

The South Carolina Primaries were held on Tuesday, June 9. In races where no candidate received a majority of the vote, a runoff election was scheduled for June 23 between the top two candidates. Polling stations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. this Tuesday for residents to cast their ballots.

Here’s a look at what to expect at the polls and what races are on the ballot this Tuesday. Note that residents may not see every contest listed when they go to vote, depending on which precinct they reside in.

How to Vote

Residents are encouraged to use S.C. Votes’ MyscVOTES tool to find their voting location before heading to the polls. Voters will be asked to provide one of the following photo IDs at their polling location:

  • S.C. Driver's License

  • ID Card issued by the S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles

  • S.C. Voter Registration Card with Photo

  • Federal Military ID

  • U.S. Passport
