Trade Street Social celebrated new additions and an updated look to its space with a VIP party on Thursday.
The Greer restaurant opened its doors in late August last year, making its mark as a dining and entertainment venue in downtown. Originally opening with a golf simulator and a list of weekly events to keep guests entertained, restaurant owners said they wanted to add more options for customers.
“It’s been such a pleasure to be here [in Greer] and to have found such a great community here,” said Bryan Beal, CEO of the Innovative Hospitality & Development Group. “We want this to be a social atmosphere, and we’re always going to try to find a way to be better.”
One of the ways the restaurant is updating its space is by adopting a flexible seating and serving model. The main section of the restaurant is filled with high-tops, with communal tables and lounge-style seating in the back.
Instead of guests having one server, all of the employees will keep an eye on tables to ensure their needs are met. Guests can get settled at a table and order when they are ready, helping the evening to feel less rushed.
In addition to the changes to seating and serving, Trade Street Social now has several new forms of entertainment for guests to enjoy. The golf bays have been updated with “arcade mode,” giving more ways to play. The venue also added basketball games, a Nintendo Switch, a tabletop console and several other arcade-style games.
