B. Stephen “Steve/Woody” Woodward, 79, of Greer, passed away Feb. 8, 2026.
A native of Greenville County, he was a son of the late Bill and Ann Woodward and a member of Victor Baptist Church. Steve attended and played football at the University of Georgia after graduating from Greer High School. After graduation from the University of Georgia, he returned to Greer High School, where he served for over 40 years. He impacted the lives of many students as a teacher, coach, and athletic director.
Steve is survived by a nephew, Nic Woodward (Brie); a great-nephew, Jason Woodward; a niece, Charle Lorenzo, and a special friend, Leigh Clement.
Steve was predeceased by a brother, Danny Woodward.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Feb. 13 at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Ken Vickery.
Visitation will be held from 2:30-3:45 p.m. Feb. 13, 2026, at The Wood Mortuary.
