The SCHSL released playoff brackets for boys and girls basketball teams this week. Eleven Greer-area teams earned the opportunity to compete in the playoffs this season.
First round schedules for Greer-area teams are listed below. Full Upper State brackets are posted in photo gallery.
Class 5-A Division 1
- Byrnes boys basketball has earned the No. 3 seed in the playoffs. The Rebels will have a first-round bye and take on the winner of No. 6 Clover/No. 11 Blythewood at home on Saturday, Feb. 21.
- Byrnes girls basketball has earned the No. 6 seed in the playoffs. The Lady Rebels will be at home taking on No. 11 Boiling Springs on Monday, Feb. 16. That game is set for a 6:30 p.m. tip.
Class 5-A Division 2
-Â Riverside boys basketball has earned the No. 1 overall seed in the playoffs. The Warriors will have a first-round bye and host the winner of No. 8 Eastside/No. 9 Catawba Ridge on Friday, Feb. 20.
- Eastside boys basketball is the No. 8 seed, hosting No. 9 Catawba Ridge on Monday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m.
- Riverside girls basketball has earned the No. 8 seed in the playoffs, and the Lady Warriors will host No. 9 Catawba Ridge on Tuesday, Feb. 17
- Eastside girls basketball has earned the No. 4 seed in the playoffs. The Lady Eagles receive a first-round bye, and they will host the winner of No. 5 Fort Mill/No. 12 Northwestern on Saturday, Feb. 21.
Class 4-A
- Greer boys basketball has earned a No. 6 seed. The Jackets will host No. 11 AC Flora on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
- Blue Ridge boys basketball has earned a No. 8 seed. The Tigers will host No. 9 Seneca on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
- Blue Ridge girls basketball has earned a No. 5 seed. The Lady Tigers will host No. 12 Richland Northeast on Monday, Feb. 16.
Class 3-A
- Greer Middle College boys basketball has earned a No. 16 seed. The Blazers will travel to face No. 1 Christ Church on Monday, Feb. 16.
- Greer Middle College girls basketball has earned a No. 13 seed. The Lady Blazers will travel to face No. 4 West Oak on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
