Billy James Coleman, 87, husband of Carolyn Cook Coleman, passed away July 20, 2025.
A native of Dyersburg, Tennessee, son of the late James and Katie Moore Coleman Jones, he was a United States Navy Veteran. Mr. Coleman earned his master’s degree in business administration and retired as president of his own consulting firm.
Surviving are his daughter, Dianne Coleman Kuhl and her husband, Dr. Dana E. Kuhl, of Greer, South Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Janet Oates of Ripley, Tennessee, and Robbie Davis of Savannah, Tennessee; and a brother-in-law, Tommy A. Cook and his wife, Ruth, of Savannah, Tennessee.
Billy was predeceased by a brother, Jack Oates.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, July 24, 2025, at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Kyle N. Brown. Burial with military honors will be private.
Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 pm Thursday July 24, 2025, at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at their respective homes.
