Danny Ray Edmonds, 63, passed away June 20, 2026.
A native of Greenville, South Carolina, son of the late Hulon Andrew and Thelma Gilbert Edmonds, he was a graduate of Blue Ridge High School class of 1980, was a loving papa to his grandchildren and well respected in the racing community and was known as “pops”.
Surviving are his wife, Debra Kaye Esco Edmonds of the home; three children, Dustin Edmonds (Brittany), Jason Edmonds (Erin), and Kelly Esco; two brothers, Lee Edmonds and Dale Edmonds; and five grandchildren, Bella, Emily, Laila, Bristol, and Bailey.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. June 25 at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Mark Taylor and Rev. Dewayne Pruitt.
The family will receive friends after the service.
