David Scott Buchanan, 61, passed away Dec. 25, 2025.
A native of Orangeburg County, South Carolina, son of the late David Herman Buchanan and Nancy LaBoon Buchanan, he was a retired sheriff’s deputy with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office for over 30 years and attended Ebenezer Welcome Baptist Church.
Surviving are two children, Stella Turene Buchanan and Brandin Scott Buchanan of the home and their mother, Kayla Atkins Buchanan; a brother, James Buchanan of Greer; and a sister, Teresa Vaughn of Greer.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Dec. 29, at Ebenezer Welcome Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Vince Gainey. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 1:30-2:45 p.m. Dec. 29 at the church.
