Doris Elaine Hudson Hammond, 74, wife of the late Joe Austin Hammond, passed away September 20, 2026.
A native of Greer, daughter of the late Edward Dean and Doris Elaine Bayne Hudson, she was a retired bookkeeper for Emmanuel’s Hammer and of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are a daughter, Jessica E. Hammond of Spartanburg; a brother, Alon Hudson (Mary) of Greer; a nephew, Matthew Hudson of Greer; and two nieces, Heather Hudson and Lindsay Hudson both of Greer.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 8 at Cleveland First Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Bill Cashion. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:45 p.m. Oct. 8 at the church.
The family will be at their respective homes.
