Doris Fowler Hawkins, 100, wife of the late James Clifford Hawkins, passed away August 13, 2026.
A native of Greenville County, South Carolina, daughter of the late Homer E. and Marcille Staton Fowler, she was an insurance agent for T Max Lawton Insurance and later became the owner before retiring at the age of 80. She was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church for 86 years.
Surviving are three nieces, Dr. Pamela Reese Rawls (John) of Taylors, Robin Fowler Morgan (Mark) of Taylors, and Wylene Carnes Gray of Piedmont; two nephews, Michael Fowler (Kay) of Taylors and Billy Carnes (Karen) of Taylors; and several great nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hawkins was predeceased by a brother, Homer E. Fowler, Jr. and a sister, Dorothy Fowler Reese.
The family would like to thank caretaker, Ruby Rookard, for her faithful and loving service.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 17 at Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Danny Monroe.
