Douglas “Doug” Edmond Werner, 76, passed away September 9, 2026.
Born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and a native of Greer, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Harry and Hilda Owell Werner, a retired employee of Green’s Discount Beverage and was of the Lutheran faith.
Surviving are his wife, Denise Annette Center Werner, of the home; one daughter, Kerri Werner (Jon) of Greer, South Carolina; two sons, Michael Smith (Sarah), of Greer, South Carolina, and Chris Smith (Shawn), of Greer, South Carolina; three brothers Greg Werner (Gail), Bob Werner (Sandy), and Keenan Werner, all of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Barbara Bonder (Tom), and Laura Boone (Jim), all of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and seven grandchildren, Izzy, Ethan, Anna, Owen, Isaac, Uziah, and Samantha.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Owen Werner and Glen Werner; and two sisters, Audrey Werner and Nancy Smitts.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family will be at their respective homes.
