James Watson “Jim” Culbreth, 84, passed away August 20, 2026.
A native of Greer, son of the late Horace Marvin and Leora James Culbreth, he was a retired employee of General Electric and a member of Ware Place Church of God.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Marlene Whitener Culbreth of the home; three children, Jason R. Culbreth (Maryeli) of Charlotte, North Carolina, Stephanie Mills of Florida, and Angela Suber Powell of Greer, South Carolina; a brother, Gene V. Culbreth (Linda) of Wilmington, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Dillon and Amber; and a great-grandchild, River.
Mr. Culbreth was predeceased by two brothers, Edwin T. Culbreth and R. Melvin Culbreth and three sisters, Mary C. Summerlin, Faye C. Poyer, and Hazel Marie Culbreth.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 25 at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Pastor Martin Foster and Pastor Tommy King with webcasting available. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. Aug. 25, 2026, at The Wood Mortuary.
