Larry Wayne Forrester, 77, husband of the late Bertha Mae Yates Forrester, passed away September 4, 2026.
A native of Greer, South Carolina, son of the late Theodore Alvin and Mary Elizabeth Axson Forrester, he was a retired employee of Greer Commission of Public Works and a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Teresa Oswalt; a brother, Tim Forrester (Chris); three grandchildren, James Lee Timmons, Amanda Dawn Cheatham and Samantha Renee Rex (Jesse); four great-grandchildren, Pearson Timmons (Sadie), Kaleb White, Cameron Rex and Jackson Rex; two great-great-grandchildren, Riley Mae Timmons and Anna Grace Timmons; and a daughter-in-law, Denise Timmons.
He was predeceased by a son, James Lloyd Timmons and two brothers, Buck Forrester and David Forrester.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Sept. 10 at Mountain View Cemetery conducted by Rev. Tim Wofford.
Visitation will be held from 9:15-10:30 a.m. Sept. 10 at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at their respective homes.
