Michael "Mike" Alfred Smith, 64, passed away Friday, June 12, 2026.
He was born Dec. 23, 1961, in Greer, South Carolina, son of the late Rufus Thomas Smith and Frances Florine Green Odom.
Michael was a graduate of James F. Byrnes High School where he was a member of the marching band. He was employed with John D. Hollingsworth, and most recently with AMAMCO Tool and Supply Company, and was an avid golfer.
He is survived by two brothers, Keith Smith and Kent Smith; two nieces, Christy Smith and Ameris Smith; one nephew, Jason Smith and his wife, Ashley, and their children, Andi, Greyson, and Wyatt Smith.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. June 18 at Hillcrest Memory Gardens, conducted by Dr. Keith Kelly.
Visitation will be held from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. June 18 at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at their respective homes.
