Mildred Rogers, 94, a beloved mother and lifetime resident of Greer, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026.
She was born on May 6, 1931, to the late Roy Branford and Georgia Ann Weathers Rodgers. She was a lifetime member of Apalache Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, Gary Alan Rogers and a daughter, Sandra (Sandy) Lynne Rogers of the home; a “special daughter”, Debbie Pruitt of Travelers Rest; two grandsons, Marcus Lee (Mark) Rogers and Todd Lancasters; a granddaughter, Treena Rogers Cornforth; and five great-grandchildren, Alexis Marie Rogers, Madison Nicole Williamson, Mackenzie Rae Lancaster, Alexander Cash Cornforth, and Emory Aileen Cornforth.
She was predeceased by her middle son, Marty Rogers, her sister and best friend, Ruby R. Oliver, two brothers, George Branford (G.B.) Rodgers and Paul Rodgers; and many of her lifelong friends, especially her dear friend, Gail West, and family friend, Jim Brown.
Mildred asked not to have a visitation, but the body will lie in repose at The Wood Mortuary on Jan.9, 2026, where friends and family members may come and pay their respects.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 10, 2026, at Wood Memorial Park conducted by Dr. Keith Kelly.
Flowers are accepted and the families are at their respective homes.
