Richard Allison Hawkins, 91, of Greer, South Carolina, husband of the late Martha Cornelia Hawkins, passed away June 26, 2026.
A native of Greer, South Carolina, son of the late Arthur W. and Martha Mae Turner Hawkins, he served as minister of music at several churches and was a member of Burnsview Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, Kenneth Hawkins (Lisa) of Greer; one daughter, Wanda Bell (Mark) of Laurens; one brother, Tommy Hawkins (Jane) of Fort Mill; three grandchildren, Faith Ebert (JD), Rebekah Bell and Linsey Bell; two great-grandchildren, Ansley Ebert and Juni Ebert; and special friend, Judy Gaston.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Arthur Hawkins, Jr. and Lawrence Hawkins; six sisters, Shirley Hawkins, Kathleen Johnson, Sarah Snow, Gail Clippard, Margaret McGowan and Mildred London.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. June 30 at Burnsview Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Tim Huckaby and Mr. Ray Hatcher. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. June 30, at Burnsview Baptist Church prior to the service.
The family will be at their respective homes.
