Richard John Spaniol, 58, of Wellford, passed away Friday, Feb. 27, 2026. Rick was born in Pittsfield, MA to the late Richard and Donna Spaniol. He was predeceased by his father and mother in law, Robert and Patricia Van Kirk.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors (especially golf), but more than anything, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
He is survived by his loving wife, Diane Spaniol; his daughters, Danielle and Emily Spaniol; his sister, Michelle DeLaRiva; his uncle Kenny (Sandi) Spaniol; several nieces and nephews and his loving dog Tucker. As well as several friends who have become family.
Richard’s memorial service will be at 4 p.m. March 7 at Living Waters Funeral Home & Crematory, 529 Spartanburg Hwy. S., Lyman, SC 29365. The family suggests casual attire and will receive friends following the service.
