Robert Earl Southerland, 94, passed away June 29, 2026.
A native of Greenville, son of the late Lewis Fletcher and Ellen Davis Southerland, he was a United States Army Veteran and a member of Edwards Road Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Catherine Porter Southerland of the home; a daughter, Cathy Jean Campbell (Mark) of Charleston; three grandchildren, Natalie Smith (Micah) of Dallas, Texas, Kevin Craft (Maria Peacock) of Taylors, and Jason Craft (Yolanda) of Greenville; and nine great-grandchildren, Micah Smith, Jr., Daniel Smith, Katy Ann Smith, Reed Craft, Abigail Feller, Alexis Craft, Josiah Craft, Elisha Craft, and Kharis Craft.
Mr. Southerland was predeceased by three brothers, Claude Southerland, Clarence Southerland, and Ralph Southerland and one sister, Clara Fowler.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. July 13 at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Pastor Evan McFarland. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from 12:45-1:45 p.m. July 13 at The Wood Mortuary.
