Shirley Evelyn Guy Wright, 85, wife of the late Rev. Silas Samuel Wright, passed away August 18, 2026.
A native of Startex, South Carolina, daughter of the late Melvin and Dorcas Thompson Guy, she was a homemaker and a member of Fairforest Church of God.
Surviving are three children, William Crawford Wright (Lezlie) of Greer, Samuel Wayne Wright (Lynn) of Startex, and Angel Michelle Wright Powell (Scott) of Canton, North Carolina; and six grandchildren, Addison Wayne Wright, Samuel Caleb Wright, Isaac Storm Smith, William Alexander Wright, Alicyn Isabella Faith Smith, and Andrew Crawford Wright.
Mrs. Wright was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Green.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Aug. 22 at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. John Petty and Rev. Joan Grigg. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held 9:30-10:45 a.m. Aug. 22 at The Wood Mortuary.
The family will be at the home of her son, Wayne Wright.
