Shirley Irene Poole Belue, 90, wife of 50 years to the late William Clint Belue, Sr., passed away September 9, 2026.
A native of Greenville, daughter of the late Paul Simpson and Eva Irene Hughey Poole, she was a graduate of Jordan High School and University of South Carolina, retired as a registered nurse from St. Francis Hospital in 2004, and a member of Hampton Heights Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Clint Belue, Jr. (Elaine) of Greer and Scott Belue (Deana)of Fountain Inn; three grandchildren, William Clint “Will” Belue III (Kortnee), Brandon Scott Belue (Cassie), and Austin Dean Belue; and four great-grandchildren, Aurora Paige Belue, Adelaide Wren Belue, Everest Alexander Belue, and Riley Jane Belue.
Mrs. Belue was predeceased by a brother, Charles H. Poole and six sisters, Amanda “Peggy” White, Vivian O’Shields, Geneva Waddell, Sarah Martin, Ann Barnette, and Juanita Vaughn.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Sept. 12 at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Scott Sheriff. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Sept. 12 at The Wood Mortuary.
