Susan Haines Payne, 83, wife of the late Eugene Hyrum Payne, passed away July 13, 2026.
A native of Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of the late John Koch and Janet McKay Haines; she was a retired Civil Servant for the United States Navy, and member of Cross Roads Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Mary Ann Payne Randall (Scott) of Gray Court; two grandchildren, Allen Drake Randall (Ely) and Ava Nicole Randall; and a niece, Miki Merritt.
She was predeceased by her sister, Sarah H. Trippett.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. July 20 at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Tyler Estes.
A visitation will be held from noon to 1:45 p.m. July 20 at The Wood Mortuary.
