Greer's hard work and determination paved the way for other young women in the city and she continues to encourage young people to get an education and follow their dreams.

The City of Greer celebrated its 10th Railfest on Saturday, Sept. 27. The festival is held during “See Tracks? Think Train Week.,” with the goal of educating the community about trains and rail safety. Railfest offers family-friendly activities such as a trackless train ride, face painting and balloon animals.
