The Greer City Council has approved an amendment to its business license ordinance, updating the business license class schedule and slightly changing licensing fees. The council also approved three annexation ordinances and three resolutions, including one that adds Presidents Day to the holiday schedule for city employees and another that authorizes the city to look into the partial closure of Moore Street. The council also heard three items for their first readings, all of which were approved to carry on to a second and final reading.

The Greer City Council discussed updates to the city's business licensing system and comprehensive plan in their Tuesday night meeting. Ordinance Number 25-2025 aims to amend the business license ordinance, which includes updating the business license class schedule and slightly changing licensing fees. Ordinance 29-2025 aims to update Greer's comprehensive plan as part of a five-year updating cycle. Additionally, the council had its second and final reading of two zoning ordinances, changing property located at 300 Bennett Center Dr. from office professional to medium density and property located at 205 W. Arlington Ave. from suburban neighborhood to traditional neighborhood.
