The Greer Farmers Market has concluded its 2025 season, averaging 1,000 attendees per market. The market, which celebrated its 10th anniversary this year, featured 22 farms, 21 food vendors and 36 musicians. This year, it also introduced the Healthy Kids program, which provided $5 vouchers to children to spend on local produce. The market plans to continue bringing excitement to Greer City Park on weekends, with the Winter-Spring Market Series kicking off on Jan. 25.

The Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce and GreerNews.com are hosting a Candidate Forum on October 27, from 6-8 p.m. at the Cannon Centre. The event is open to the public and will provide voters with the opportunity to hear from local candidates ahead of the upcoming election. Each candidate will have two minutes to present their platform, followed by a moderated Q&A session. The forum aims to foster transparency, engagement, and informed voting.

Dunlap Media Group is hosting a ribbon-cutting event for GreerNews.com, its third outlet, which includes daily news, sports, crime reports, obituaries, photo galleries, a local events calendar, and lifestyle coverage. The event will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7, outside the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce on Trade Street.
