The Greer Farmers Market has officially wrapped up for the year, boasting an average of 1,000 attendees per market for the 2025 season.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Greer Farmers Market being part of the town. It hosted 27 markets throughout the year, featuring 22 different farms, 21 food vendors and 36 musicians. All vendors at the market come from within 50 miles of Greer, ensuring that attendees support locally-owned businesses when they go shopping.
The season came with some growth, including the addition of the Healthy Kids program. This is an initiative started by the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce Leadership Greer Class 45, designed to give $5 vouchers to children at the markets to spend on local produce. Officials with the market say that they were able to give out $4,980 in vouchers in 2025.
Some of this year’s big events included the Harvest Finale, celebrating the end of summer, the annual Chili Cookoff and the Trick-or-Treat market held in partnership with Greer Alive. Next year, Greer Farmers Market plans to continue to bring excitement to Greer City Park on the weekends.
On Jan. 25, it will officially kick off its Winter-Spring Market Series, featuring over 40 local vendors. Markets will be held once per month on a Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Here’s a look at what to expect in 2026.
