Greer CPW will host two community blood drives this week in support of The Blood Connection and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston. The first is on Thursday, June 4, in Greer, and the second is on Saturday, June 6, in Landrum.
Greer Commission of Public Works (Greer CPW) is hosting community blood drives on June 4 in Greer and June 6 in Landrum, in partnership with The Blood Connection. The drives aim to help meet critical blood supply needs and support families with children undergoing medical treatment, with donations benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities Charleston. Donors will receive $30 in eGift cards from The Blood Connection. The drives are particularly significant following the birth of an employee's child with a heart condition in December 2025.
Rick Beheler, an employee of Greer CPW for over 40 years, just donated his 120th unit of blood at a recent CPW-hosted blood drive — totaling 15 gallons. This is Greer CPW’s 25th year partnering with The Blood Connection to host blood drives on its property.
Greer CPW will be hosting a blood drive in partnership with The Blood Connection from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Thursday, September 4. The drive comes with raised incentives — $120 for O-negative donors, and $70 for all other blood types.
