Voting opens Monday at 5 p.m. for the GreerNews.com Athlete of the Week, presented by D&D Motors.
Voting will remain open until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8. Voters can cast a ballot once per day during the campaign.

Nominees for the week of March 30-April 5 are:
Memorie Melton, Byrnes softball
The senior Melton was elite at the plate in four games last week, batting 12-17 with a home run, five triples, 12 RBIs and nine runs, helping lead the Lady Rebels to a perfect 4-0 week.
Edwin Altamirano, Greer soccer
Altamirano came up with three huge saves in a penalty kick shootout in a win vs. Daniel last week, solidifying Greer's place at the top of the 4-A Region 2 standings.
Kilee Grant, Blue Ridge softball
In a 13-2 win over Berea, Grant (who is in the eighth grade) threw a complete seven-inning gem, striking out 10 batters and allowing just one hit and no earned runs.
Jacob Johnson, Riverside
In three wins for Riverside last week, Johnson was on fire in the batter's box. The senior catcher went 5-9 with two home runs, nine RBIs and five runs as the Warriors swept Wade Hampton and earned a non-region win vs. T.L. Hanna.
The GreerNews.com Athlete of the Week will be a weekly initiative that will run 32 weeks during the 2025-2026 school year.
