Nominees for the week of August 24-30 are:
 
Terrell Jackson, Greer football
Jackson came down with two interceptions, including a pick-six, in Greer's 52-0 win over Union County.
 
Nealy Pretulak, Byrnes girls golf
Pretulak built even further off a great start to her season, as the freshman shot the low score of 75 for Byrnes at the Lady Rebel Invitational, leading the Lady Rebels to a 10th place finish out of 23 teams.
 
Corrine Christopher, Riverside girls volleyball
Christopher had 87 assists and 20 digs as Riverside went unbeaten over the weekend at the Aiken State Crossover.
 
Braylon Edwards, Blue Ridge football
Edwards had three receptions for 51 yards and two touchdowns in the Tigers' 28-6 win over rival Travelers Rest.
 
The GreerNews.com Athlete of the Week will be a weekly initiative that will run 32 weeks during the 2026-2027 school year.
