Nominees for the week of September 7-13 are:
 
Kilion Arcila, Byrnes football
In his first game back in action, Arcila collected three tackles, two tackles for loss, and two sacks in Byrnes' 55-17 win over Greer.
 
Christian McDowell, Eastside football
 
McDowell did it on both sides of the ball, racking up 86 yards receiving and a touchdown at receiver while also hauling in the game-winning interception in Eastside's 20-14 win over Riverside.
 
Gracey Roberts, Greer golf
Roberts shot the individual best score of the match with a 37 in Greer's win at Pickens last week. 
 
The GreerNews.com Athlete of the Week will be a weekly initiative that will run 32 weeks during the 2026-2027 school year.
