Tomorrow, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., polling stations across South Carolina will open up for the Nov. 4 General Election.Â
Nov. 4 is municipal election day for South Carolina. Several municipalities, including Greer, Duncan and Lyman, have active, competitive races. Here’s a look at what to expect on election day and what races are on the ballot.
What’s on the Ballot?
City of Greer:
City Council Districts Two, Four and Six
Commissioner of Public Works
Town of Lyman:
Mayor
Town Council at-large, three seats to fill
Town of Duncan:
Mayor
Town Council at-large, two seats to fill
Depending on their address, some voters in these cities may have additional County or State races to vote on. Residents can look up their sample ballot online to find out exactly what races they are voting for using SC Vote’s voter search tool.Â

How to Vote
Residents are encouraged to use S.C. Votes’ MyscVOTES tool to find their voting location before heading to the polls. Voters will be asked to provide one of the following photo IDs at their polling location:
S.C. Driver's License
ID Card issued by the S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles
S.C. Voter Registration Card with Photo
Federal Military ID
U.S. Passport
Voters without a photo ID can get one free of charge from their county voter registration office or the Department of Motor Vehicles. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
