Our loving mother Carol Marie Clark, 65, went home to be with the lord on July 19, 2026. Carol was the only child of the late Theron Barnett and Sarah L Barnett. She was the loving wife of the late James Phil Clark for 40 years who passed last year.
Carol was a strong woman of faith and dedicated member of Northwood Baptist Church. She retired from the School District of Greenville County where everyone she had worked with loved and admired her. Carol loved the beach and gardening. She was known for always helping in her church through many various outreach programs. She spent her life devoted to her family and her faith in the lord.
Carol is survived by a son and two daughters, Scott Clark (Heather), Mary Bell, and Katie Burns(Anthony);10 grandchildren, Cora Richardson (Danny), Eva Clark, Noah Bell, Sarahlyn Burns, Leelanne Burns, Lorelei Bell, Cooper Burns, Declan Bell, Clark Burns, and Emmalou Burns; and 2 great grandchildren, David Vickery and Percy Richardson. In addition to her children and grandkids, she is survived by a sister-in-law Valerie Genia Widener(Stan), and her special mother-in-law Sybil Clark.
Carol was predeceased by her father Theron Barnett, her loving husband James Phil Clark, and granddaughter Nora Bell.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. July 23 at Living Waters Funeral Home & Crematory; 529 Spartanburg Hwy S. Lyman, SC 29365. A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. July 24 at Northwood Baptist Church; 888 Ansel School Road Greer, SC 29651.
