Charles Richard Cooke, 91, devoted husband, loving father, and grandfather, passed away at his home on August 22, 2026.

Born May 26, 1935, in Anna, Illinois to the late Charles Lewis Cooke and Stella Thomas Baumheuter, he was a United States Army Veteran where he served in Korea in 1958. Richard retired in 1993 as a truck driver for Arkansas Best Freight and was a member of Liberty Hill United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 73 years, Martha Jo Morgan Cooke of Greer; a daughter, Beverly Cooke Boudoucies (John Mark) of Greer; two grandchildren, Megan Boudoucies McAbee (Jarman) and Derek Michael Boudoucies (Amber); and six great-grandchildren, Hayli, Kenzley, Marley, Ayrton, Nico, and Kai.

Mr. Cooke was predeceased by a son, Richard “Tony” Cooke.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 26 at Liberty Hill United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Nelson Stokes. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Aug. 26 at the church.
