Daniel Talmadge Lark, 71, our beloved “Pop” was peacefully called home on September 23, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with heart disease.
While the family’s hearts are broken, they find comfort in knowing that his struggle is over and he is finally at peace. Throughout his long illness Pop showed them the true meaning of resilience. Even on his hardest days, his face would light up whenever his children or grandchildren walked into the room. He never lost his sharp whit or his deep love for his family. He fought a long hard fight, and he did it with dignity that we will admire forever.
Pop was the heartbeat of his family, and the family will choose to remember him that way. He loved traveling, fishing, and NASCAR. Danny gave his family a lifetime of beautiful memories that no illness can take away.
Surviving are his wife, Lisa Lark of the home; two daughters, Tara Thompson (Daniel) of Inman and Abby Campbell (Eric) of Greer; a brother, Edward Lark of Berea; two sisters, Maggie and Naomi; and six grandchildren, Aariah, Elijah, Avayah, Lydia, Walker, and Cedar, who took such wonderful care of him and will miss him fiercely.
Mr. Lark was predeceased by five siblings.
A private graveside will be held for the family.
