Douglas Paul Taylor, 72, husband of the late Shirley Elaine Echols Taylor, passed away Jan. 10, 2026.
A native of Greenville County, a son of the late Leroy and Betty Louise Blackwell Taylor, he was a retired automotive mechanic and member of The Bridge Church, formerly Greer Church of God of Prophecy.
Surviving are two brothers, Kenneth Taylor of Taylors, and Larry Taylor (Twyla) of Rock Hill; and sister-in-law, Jean Campbell of Greer.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 13 at The Wood Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Rev. Byron Morrell and Rev. Houston Hunt. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026, at The Wood Mortuary.
