Martha Snow Gowan, 83, wife of the late Charles Gregg Gowan, passed away October 9, 2026.
A native of Spartanburg County, daughter of the late Jesse and Nell Wood Snow, she was a retired employee of Spartanburg County Schools District 5 and a lifelong member of Sharon Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, David Gowan (Michelle) of Bonaire, Georgia and John Gowan (Michelle) of Macon, Georgia; and four grandchildren, Charles Gregg Gowan II, Lauren Gowan, Caroline Silva, and Lindsey Gowan.
Mrs. Gowan was predeceased by two sisters, Jean Satterfield and Mavoline Duncan.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Oct. 15 at Sharon Methodist Church conducted by Pastor Scott Allen and Rev. Matthew Yon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 1:45-2:45 p.m. Oct. 15 at the church.
The family will be at their respective homes.
