Rev. Thomas E. Duncan, 86, of Lyman, passed away Monday, November 2, 2026. He was the husband of Rosaphine Duncan and the son of the late John Thomas and Annie Lou Robinson Duncan of Edgefield, SC.
Rev. Duncan pastored many churches through the years. Among those churches were Old Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Greenwood, New Prospect Baptist Church, and Cedar Grove Baptist Church. He attended Calvary Bible Institute and was bi-vocational as a Pastor and a Veterinarian Assistant.
In addition to his wife, Rosaphine, Thomas is survived by his children, Chevalier A. Duncan, Dwayne Glover, Kenzie Nance, Hiram McCarroll, John McCarroll, Nequita M. Cannon and her husband Mychal; his siblings, Eugene Duncan, Thadd Duncan, Rev. James Duncan, Modjeska Duncan Martin, and Hazel Duncan. He is predeceased by his siblings, Barmore (Sunny) Duncan, Goins R. Duncan, Evelyn Duncan Norman, Juanita Duncan Glover, Ethel Lee (Teen) Duncan Spearman.
Rev. Duncan will lie in repose from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 6 at Living Waters Funeral Home & Crematory, 529 Spartanburg Hwy. S., Lyman, SC 29365. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Nov. 9 at Living Waters Funeral Home & Crematory with the service beginning at 12:30 p.m. The committal will also take place in the chapel at Living Waters Funeral Home & Crematory. Rev. Duncan will be interred at Evening Star Cemetery in Greenwood, SC.
