Mrs. Ruth Ellen J. Davis, wife of George T. Davis, daughter of the late Warren and Ida Mae Jasper, passed on Monday, September 21, 2026.
She was a member of Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She graduated from Lincoln High School. After high school, she began working for Liberty Life Insurance Company until she retired.
Left to cherish fond and loving memories including her husband George, of over 42 years, are sonAundra Davis and step sons Joykest (Sandra) Davis and Jacques Davis; along with a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother Bo James.
Funeral service will take place at noon Sept. 29 at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. Sept. 28 at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary.
