Sue Ellen Taylor Paris, 85, wife of the late Marion Perry Paris, of Greer, South Carolina, passed away July 18, 2026.

A native of Greer, daughter of the late Jonah Earl and Edith Victoria Jones Taylor, she was a retired employee of Greenville County School System, a homemaker and a member of Greer First Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir for many years.

Surviving are two sons, Myron Paris (Terri) of Greer, and Rev. Avery Paris (Stacy) of West Columbia; seven grandchildren, Casey Paris (Christa), Emily Styles (Stefan), Brittany Peek (Chris), Sara Paris, Anna Grace Paris, Caleb Paris, and Ben Paris; and seven great-grandchildren, Sophie Paris, Millie Paris, Landry Paris, Sadie Styles, Sutton Styles, Baker Peek, and Teller Peek. She was known to her grandchildren as Mimi.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Nancy Taylor and Sylvia McKinney.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. July 21, at The Wood Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Dr. Doug Mize. The service will be webcast at www.thewoodmortuary.com. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

A visitation will be held from 1 to 2:15 p.m. July 21 at The Wood Mortuary.

Pallbearers will be Casey Paris, Caleb Paris, Ben Paris, Greg McKinney, Stefan Styles, Chris Peek, Shane Paris, and Lonnie Farmer.

The family will be at the home of her son, Myron Paris.
